We tutor in several subject areas, but our focus is upon math and English. We understand that, for many students, mastery of the basics of English and mathematics has become an increasingly elusive goal. We seek to ensure that our students acquire the necessary skills in these subjects and earn the grades that document their successes.

An Effective Learning Environment

We feel that effective learning occurs in a positive environment in which learners are challenged, but never frustrated. At the Academy, we understand the diversity in student abilities, so we begin most of our programs with a detailed assessment, which isolates students’ areas of strength and weakness. All of our tutoring is done on site in a very low-stress environment. Our credit courses have a very low pupil/teacher ratio with a maximum class size of 12 students. In addition, students enrolled in credit courses at the Academy of Math & English have access to additional tutoring should they require extra help.
